When news of another sample sale to feature Kim Seybert broke early this week I was filled with excitement and anticipation. If you’ve read my post from a week ago you know just how incredible that sale was and why I had to get the scoop on what was going to be on hand this time around.
I have never heard of Secret Celebrity Licensing prior to this sale. I came across their flyer purely by chance and my curiosity was piqued. With a little googling I was able to learn that their portfolio includes Kim Seybert and Celerie Kemble. Well that was it right there, I knew I couldn’t miss this sale.
Making my way over to their showroom, located in midtown, I had modest yet hopeful expectations. I couldn’t possibly imagine the prices being comparable to last week’s bonanza but I am so glad to say that I was wrong! Yep, a woman gladly admitting to being wrong, you heard it here first 😉
Prices started at just $1 for Christmas ornaments, napkin rings, coasters and topped out at $50 for this set of 4 luggage suitcases.
There were lots of placemats, but only a few napkins and coasters. Priced at just $3 each, these placemats are a total steal! As I was browsing, an employee brought out a full box of round beaded turquoise mats, how great for a matching set since the other pieces were mostly one of a kinds.

This really matches the holiday table runner I picked up last week |
Along the right wall were shelves full of various pillowcases for $5 or $10 if you want a stuffer pillow along with the case. One thing to note is that the stuffer pillows are marked with a black sharpie which can be an issue if you are getting a white pillowcase. There were also candles by Celerie Kemble for $5 each as well as lamps for $10.

The biggest surprise came when I noticed two racks of ready to wear. I figured the clothing selection would consist of bathrobes and the like but imagine my delight when I saw Catherine Malandrino’s name on the price list. The selection was small but so so good. Sizes ranged from Petite to size 10 and were priced $10-$20! They were actually a bit higher earlier in the day but got marked down before closing. I found a gorgeous silk sheath dress to go with my brand new Paul Andrew heels, along with a few standout fall pieces. The best deal were these mint color leather pants that still had a retail tag of $995! I paid just $10!!! They will need to get hemmed since I’m a petite but at this price I’ll easily drop $$$ to get this done professionally. I absolutely adore Catherine Malandrino’s designs. She makes the most flattering dresses on the market and as someone who recently gained some extra weight her clothes have been a lifesaver.
Prices got slashed as I was getting ready to pay |
Silk fuchsia dress with laser cut embroidery detail Paid $20 Retail $495 |
Ruffle front drape dress in cobalt Paid $20 Retail $680 |
Zipper front dress in purple Paid $20 Retail $345 |
Leather pants in mint green (this pic doesn’t really do them justice) Paid $10 Retail $995 |
Tomorrow is second and last day of the sale. I was told there will be no restocking but it’s possible there might be even more price reductions!
