Spot Check – Tory Burch Sample Sale.

Last evening I stopped by the Tory Burch sample sale in hopes of finding additional discounts. While select merchandise was indeed discounted the prices still left much to be desired.

When I arrived at Clothingline the place was packed with the afterwork crowd. Ladies and gents were mostly congregating around the handbag section.

There were racks and racks of clothing ranging in size from 0 to 14. With size 14 being the least represented, just a single small rack. Size 4 was very picked over as well with just 2 racks. By comparison all other sizes had at least 4 or more racks each.

Shoes were located towards the back and all remaining styles displayed in a glass case. Sad to say but the selection was terrible and at those prices no less. For $50 more you can find Reva and similar far more popular signature styles during the big department store sales. I’m not even talking about Century 21 where discounts can get to 90% off retail. So why in the world would you want to spend that much on these sorry drab styles. A most definite skip!

Clothing as well was generally unimpressive in terms of styles. There were some major standouts but they mostly sold out during the early days of the sale. A few highlights below:

The best bet would be to check out the handbag section. With totes starting at $75 and crossbodies at $95 the selection  was still quiet nice.
When I came home I received another email from Clothingline, promising even more discounts. It didn’t list what they were but if you’re in the neighborhood the sale might be worth another look. Today is the last day.
