Clothingline is currently having a real bargain bonanza of a sample sale with discounts of up to 95%. This one day sale features many of designers (but alas no Tory Burch) you may have shopped here in the past few months.
When I arrived at the venue, earlier today, I immediately spotted racks of Misha Nonoo along the right wall. There were dresses, separates, and outerwear with prices starting at $40. Overall items were priced similarly to Nonoo’s own sample sale in June but outerwear was a big draw here. Leather jackets were $149, fox fur collar jackets $179, and coats $229. The stock seemed to span every season since the designer launched her collection in 2011. I even saw a few Nonoo Lyons pieces.
Along the opposite wall were racks of Tocca dresses and separates. The only jacket I saw was a very unfinished sample piece with safety pins. Sizing tended to be on the small side with mostly 0-4 items. I spotted lots of sample dresses but be sure to inspect for signs of wear as many had makeup/foundation stains or minor tears.
Menswear was located in the back and consisted primarily of $15 (retail $225) dress shirts and tees from Proper Cloth.
Havaianas, Mar Y Sol, and Tote Le Mond were located on tables in the small space that is usually used as a dressing room during other sales. While there was no fitting room and signs on the wall said no try ons, this did not deter eager shoppers who were trying things on wherever there was space.
Other brands included Yoon, E.vil, Sunaj, Free People, Alala, Hunter Bell, Joe’s Jeans, Julie Brown, Sweet Pea, and Single.
BOTTOM LINE: The prices are great and if you’re in the neighborhood, you definitely need to stop by this sale.
