Secret Celbrity, a licensing company that holds the rights to merchandise for some of the biggest names in home decor is holding a winter sample sale inside their midtown showroom. For two days only you can score unbelievable deals on pieces from Kim Seybert Living collection as well as Celerie by Celerie Kemble. You might recall how crazy I went over their last sale in June.
I stopped by the showroom yesterday, right before closing to find prices to be even lower this time. If you can believe it some items were just $0.50! Single coasters (including the beaded variety) and napkin holders were $0.50, napkins, melamine glasses and holiday ornaments were $1, placemats $2. You can see the full price list below. Certain categories were already sold out or fairly picked over. If you came in search of Christmas decor you may be out of luck as there were very few stockings ($5) left and mostly in white faux-fur. I was told that the more festive styles and colors sold out early last morning. I also did not see anymore tree skirts, wine bags and the ornaments too were very picked over.
Now if you are looking for decorative pillows, covers or Shans then you’re in luck because there was an abundant selection from Celerie Kemble. Most covers were laid out in stacks on the shelves along the walls. Prices at $3 for just the sham/cover or $10 for fully stuffed pillows. There were tons of unique styles and colors that you can mix and match. There were also quiet a few napkins, napkin sets, placemats, and several table runners. I even spotted a beaded runner by Kim Seybert for $20 but the bottom lining was slightly detached. There were table lamps and lampshades for $5-$20, candles $3 each or box of 12 for $25. These Celerie Kemble candles retail for about $20 and places like Century 21 Stores have them on sale for $10 but you can’t beat $2-$3! There were only two scents left: Violet Woodland and Summer Rain. I saw shoppers go nuts at this week’s Nest sample sale and we know what happens at Dyptique so why not instead snag these soy based candles for a fraction of the cost.
There was also a bargain rack of $5 clothes from Catherine Malandrino but it looked like left overs from their last sale. Although at $5 do we really care?
BOTTOM LINE: You will not find cheaper prices anywhere else period. The selection is rather thin especially if all you’re interested is holiday decor. But if you are in the market for pillows, napkins, placemats, candles, and lamps then go quickly because the two day sale ends today!
