UPDATE: Everything now $20 or less!
Ohne Titel are moving and you’re in luck because the brand is having a major blowout sample sale inside their Chelsea showroom. A New York Fashion Week staple since 2008, Ohne Titel is the brainchild of Alexa Adams and Flora Gill who met while studying at Parsons School of Design. The pair are best known for their signature fit and flare silhouettes as well as optical knitwear and geometric lines.
I had a chance to check out the sale last evening and let me tell you the prices were out of this world! Everything was less than $50 and well over 90% off retail. (Tops and bottoms were $30, dresses $40, outerwear $50, shoes and accessories $15). We’re talking about items that retail for $300-$1,000+ and included leather, snakeskin, and other exotic materials. There were racks of Ready To Wear organized by size from XS to L and I spotted many pieces from Spring/Fall ’13, ’14 and ’15 collections. The venue is fairly small so if you go after work or during lunch be prepared to elbow your way through the racks. There was no dedicated dressing room but there was a mirror and most ladies had no problem stripping down so dress accordingly. The sale is being restocked daily although certain items and categories have sold out already. Outerwear in particular went very quickly and was sold out during the first half of day one. Small sizes had the widest selection that included both stock and runway samples. There were bodycon dresses, geometric print sweaters, leather skirts, and much more. While there are more boxes in the back, selection is thinning out so better go sooner rather than later. In all the chaos I didn’t get a chance to snap any photos plus during their previous sales photography was not allowed. I pulled together a few examples of what you can expect to find.
The sale also offered a small selection of jewelry, belts, and footwear. Accessories were individually priced although when I asked everything appeared to be just $15. Some highlights included painted alligator tail cuffs, snakeskin chokers with feather details, and chunky cocktail rings. The shoes were housed inside a large wardrobe behind the register. Unfortunately all shoes were size 39 (and a few 40) runway samples. Mostly high heel sandals and knee-high boots although I also spotted a couple of fringe ankle strap flat sandals. They even had several pairs of Cesare Paciotti heels from a past runway collaboration. While I’m personally partial to more practical styles I certainly would have grabbed many of these styles had they offered my size. Italian made shoes for $15? Even with signs of wear they were a steal! Behind the register there was also a table with random fashion and lifestyle books that were up for grabs as well. The sale runs through Saturday and I don’t really expect any additional discounts considering the already low prices but they are moving and everything must go so who knows? 🙂

|Quilted sweatshirt with leather details $30 (retail $510)|
BOTTOM LINE: This sale definitely lives up to the hype. This is a true blowout event with insanely low prices on RTW and straight from the runway looks. The selection is thinning out but I strongly recommend checking this one out while you still can. I heard some staffers mention that it is their last ever sample sale in New York and that the brand is moving elsewhere, no word on where to just yet.
