Additional Discounts At Tory Burch Sample Sale

This Friday is your last chance to shop the semi-annual Tory Burch sample sale. It’s worth noting that 10% of the purchase price goes to benefit the Tory Burch Foundation, which aims to empower women entrepreneurs. The sale has been running since Sunday but knowing the inevitably large crowds that it tends to attract as well as high starting prices I opted to wait until additional markdowns went into effect. Price reductions started on Wednesday making the discounts as high as 80% off in certain cases.

I arrived to find a well stocked venue with lots of clothing options in sizes 0-16. The sale offered a large selection of tops and dresses in signature Tory Burch prints and color hues. There were light summer blouses, long dresses with cut-out details, printed blazers, and even Spring/Fall coats. Some standouts included a Colorblock Coat ($175), Wisteria Fil Coupe Dress ($125), Striped Hooded Jacket ($145), Embroidered Leather Skirt ($200), Long Sleeve Folkloric Silk Blouse ($70), and this Flower Print T-shirt ($35). Outerwear was now $175 while leather jackets were $200. There was one style of Leather Field Jackets in sparrow gray that offered the best deal at $200 (retail $1,095). There was good size availability as well. The rest of the leather was also priced at $200 but when you can get a coat for the same price as a skirt or a top, always go for the coat! Other price points included $35 t-shirts, $70 blouses, $65 skirts, $125 dresses, and $300 evening gowns. You can see the full price breakdown in the photos below. I found current pricing to be fair, certainly better than retail discounts but not major deal territory. Chances are that if you were to shop at any of Tory Burch outlets during the holiday sales you’d pay significantly less. Since the sale runs through Friday I am hopeful for additional discounts on the last day.

!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p, cb; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); e.id = id; cb = new Date().getTime().toString(); p = ‘//shopsensewidget.shopstyle.com/widget-script.js?cb=1463606429092?cb=’ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‘object’){ if(doc.readyState === ‘complete’){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ‘script’, ‘shopsensewidget-script’);

Handbag prices ranged from $100-$350. You can find all available styles represented on the wall near the registers. I quite liked the Kerrington Printed Satchel ($125) and Chain Strap Logo Shoulder Bag in yellow ($190). Those of you interested in shoes should head towards the back, to what is usually the dressing room section. You’ll find a glass display case with available styles, like Lowell Ballet Flats and Fleming Espadrille Mules. The nice thing is that the organizers had written down all sizes on a piece of paper, near each individual shoe, with sold out sizes crossed out. The selection was pretty small but there were stacks and stacks of shoeboxes in the back so I wouldn’t worry too much about things quickly selling out. The current discounts lowered prices to $75-$125 although I personally prefer to wait for even lower price points. You will find swimwear (sizes S-L) next to the shoe section. There were just three styles, a two-piece separates set for $30 each top and bottom, $50 one-piece swimsuit, and coverup ups.

BOTTOM LINE: The sale runs through Friday and it is likely that more discounts will be announced this evening. If you are looking to invest in some stylish light outerwear then it’s certainly worth checking out the sale. Prices are not rock bottom but big time Tory fans may want to stop by.
