Happy Halloween 👻 🎃 everyone! Hope you all had fun playing dress up or taking your little ones trick or treating because things are about to get serious. Yep, we’re talking serious shopping, the kind that will make your wallet cry and have you saying goodbye to this month’s rent money. November is almost upon us and you know what that means………..the busiest, craziest, and the most jam-packed sample sale month starts now! Read on for this week’s edition of the shopping guide and check back tomorrow for the complete November calendar of events.
Today we open up with a major beauty sale at 260 Fifth Avenue. Save on makeup by Laura Gellar, candles and frangrances from Nest as well as haircare products by Deva Curl. This is a great time to start shopping for holiday gifts.
On Tuesday there’s a whole bevy of sample sales including Pratesi linens for all your bed and bath needs. As this is Soiffer don’t expect rock bottom prices. Speaking of home and linens you can also check out Chilewich at Clothingline that will be fully stocked with their signature placemats and napkin sets. If you’re looking for some holiday dresses or just to stock up on some seasonal pieces then Yigal Azrouel‘s sample sale might be just the thing. The sale takes place inside designer’s Garment District showroom and offers up to 80% off women’s apparel and accessories. AEFFE USA showroom will be open for business with deals on major Italian designers like Moschino, Ungaro, Pollini, and more. Expect savings of up to 70% off retail. Head all the way to the West side for Figue‘s Fall sample sale where you can find their signature resort looks and winter appropriate pieces. For some fun photo ops why not drop by Saks Fifth Avenue where you can meet Fendi‘s colorful mascots, the Fendirumi! Tuesday to Wednesday from 2pm to 7:30pm.

If you’re not completely broke after MJ then head over to Carven for their second-ever US sample sale. The French label is among the multitude of brands in the midst of creative director changes which should translate to some pretty amazing deals on past stock. You don’t want to miss this one! Those looking to save on current season merchandise should check out Helmut Lang sample sale at Chelsea Market where the discounts are very modest (60% off retail) but the merchandise comes from the newest collection.
