Beauty Bargains Galore!

This week has so many good sample sales that it’s hard to know where to start! So why not go with this month’s first new sale. 260 is currently having one of their biggest beauty events featuring makeup by Laura Geller New York, candles and perfumes by Nest Fragrances, and hair products by Deva Curl. While Nest has been holding semi-annual sales for the last couple of years this is the first time that you’re getting such incredible savings on Laura Geller and Deva Curl products. How good are the deals? Well in some cases as high as 90% off with prices starting at just $2 so follow me after the jump and read on!

Laura Geller makeup is definitely the standout at this week’s event. The discounts are great, prices even better, and there is a ton of stock! One of my favorite finds were the brushes, now selling for just $2 (retail as high as $35). There were foundation, stippling, blending, highlighter, and eyeshadow brushes. The sale offered some great holiday gift ideas like the following sets that are now $15. The Mediterranean Journey set retails for $72 with products valued up to $155. The six piece collection includes Baked Balance-N-Brighten Color Correcting FoundationBaked Mediterranean BronzerBaked Color Intense Shadow DuoKajal Longwear EyelinerLove Me Dew Lip Crayon, and a snazzy Tote bag. All that for just $15?! Run ladies, run, don’t walk! Even at the sale bronzers and blusters were $10 each and here you get 5 other items on top. There were also other sets like Roman Holiday and Le Jardin. Laura Geller’s most popular product, the Spackle primers were also well represented at the sale. There was of course the original version, along with tinted, SPF, and anti-aging for $10 each. Concealers, foundation cream sticks, and powder foundations were also available for $10 but only in two shades: Light and Medium. Among the color cosmetics you can drown in a sea of $5 lipsticks and lip gloss, 2 for $5 lip liners (only in Chianti) and eyeliners, and $5 eyeshadow. The eye palettes (besides the special leaves quad) looked to be sold out already. I went into total cuteness overload when I saw the rose shaped blush and Autumn Leaves eyeshadow quad in the shape of……wait for it…….leaves. There are so many great stocking stuffers and gifts for yourself 😉 so I highly recommend stoping by because your makeup loving friends and family will thank you. If you have any questions there were several brand reps around to explain all the products.

!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p, cb; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); = id; cb = new Date().getTime().toString(); p = ‘//’ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‘object’){ if(doc.readyState === ‘complete’){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ‘script’, ‘shopsensewidget-script’);

The discounts on Nest products were not as spectacular as the other brands at the sale but fans of the label will be happy to save even 50% off retail. Standard candles were going for $25 (retail $40) and I spotted many classic scents like Apricot Tea, Pumpkin Chai, Holiday, Hearth, Corsica, and Grapefruit just to name a few. The larger 3-wick candles were going for $45 and grand candles like this limited edition Corsica 4-wick candle $75. There were also various gift sets going for $35 each. 50ml EDPs were priced at $35 and 100ml at $40 but I didn’t see any of the latter. I saw scents like Midnight Fleur, Passiflora, Midnight Fleur Soleil, and Amazon Lily. Another great stocking stuffer were these beautifully packaged Holiday Room Sprays for $10 (retail $28). Besides candles and fragrances there were also Sprig body butters and shower gels for $4, and Nest liquid soap sets for $35. The individual soaps for $10 (retail $22) were sold out. While the sale is still very well stocked, certain products are selling very quickly. If there is a particular scent or item on your wish list you may not want to wait too long. On the other hand if you’re looking for better savings it might be best to wait it out until extra discounts kick in later this week.

!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p, cb; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); = id; cb = new Date().getTime().toString(); p = ‘//’ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‘object’){ if(doc.readyState === ‘complete’){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ‘script’, ‘shopsensewidget-script’);

Last but certainly not least there were hair products by Deva Curl. The haircare line is designed for women with curly hair and features a full range of products like shampoos, conditioners, treatments, sprays, mists, and travel sets. The brand reps were on hand to talk about the products and recommend what will work for your hair type. Prices started at just $2 for travel size hair spray and No-Poo Cleansers. Value and travel set prices now ranged from $8 to $20. It looked like there were additional markdowns on all categories a sale you can see on the price list photo. As I am the direct opposite of thick curly hair I just snapped a few photos but was somewhat intrigued by this fun contraption: The Deva Fuser. It’s an attachment for your hair dryer that is a diffuser specifically designed for curly and wavy hair priced at $12 (retail $45).

!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p, cb; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); = id; cb = new Date().getTime().toString(); p = ‘//’ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‘object’){ if(doc.readyState === ‘complete’){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ‘script’, ‘shopsensewidget-script’);

BOTTOM LINE: If you love makeup or just looking for some affordable holiday gifts then I have one word for you……! The deals are amazing! Especially the Laura Geller gift sets and makeup brushes. While Nest prices are certainly much better than online I recommend waiting for additional markdowns. Deva Curl prices have already gone down and if you have curly hair you should really have a look.

    Did they have a lot in terms of the Laura geller makeup. Did you go today or yesterday 11/1. I'm concerned that by tomorrow they won't have as much of a selection, what do you think? 5thanks for post I've been looking everywhere for it!!

      Hi Danielle,

      They had lots of makeup, especially lipsticks, gloss, eyeshadow, blush, brushes. There were some additional markdowns yesterday but they still have good stock.

      Hi Claudia,

      There's still plenty of Laura Geller items left. They even had additional markdowns on Thursday! Hope you were able to find what you were looking for 🙂

    I went today at 230. There was a line but I waited only 10 minutes. The line to check out was 45 minutes easily! The products were further reduced i.e. lipsticks $2. Definitely worth going for the Laura GellerGeller. All makeup was being replenished and there was tons of stock available. Nest products are overpriced to me in the first place so I did not even look. I have curly hair but DevaCurls don't work well with my hair. It seemed like DevaCurls products were the biggest seller. Their large shampoo/ conditioner / mouse packages were $22. Someone said they are normally $88. Shampoo alone was like $4 for 8 ounces.

      Thank you so much for the update and taking the time to post here! I really appreciate it 🙂 Glad you were able to make it to the sale. I agree about Nest, prices definitely could have been lower like when they had sales at their own showroom but the $15 gift sets were a good deal. I'm not too familiar with Deva Curl but the prices certainly looked very attractive.
