UPDATE: 12/16 Now extra 30% off everything. 12/15 All shoes are now just $50! Including Julia Haart Python heels and boots. Buy 2 for $75.

Another amazing sample sale taking place this week is La Perla. The luxury Italian lingerie brand is holding their winter sale at 260's SoHo venue. After you're done loading up on holiday gifts at KORRESS why not walk down just one block and get something sexy for yourself or the ladies in your life. La Perla ready to wear is discounted 90% off retail while swimwear and underwear is priced $25-$50.

I stopped by the preview Monday evening to find a great selection of lingerie at pretty good prices. Unfortunately photography was not allowed so sorry about the sub-standard pictures but I was also able to link up many of the styles spotted at the sale. Panties were marked down to $30 while all bras were $50. Granted this isn't exactly cheap but for a brand who's bras retail for well over $500 these are great deals! Swimwear offered some of the best bargains with separates priced at $25 each or $50 for one-piece bathing suits. The selection was fairly similar to their last sample sale. Some of the hot sellers from summer like the gold embroidered (retail $700-$890) pieces were very few and far between. Overall if you dig you can find other embellished items with retail value over $400. Those would be the best bang for your buck. Sizes ranged from US 4 to 12 but remember that La Perla swimwear runs small. Their size 4 fits more like a size 32A. I wear US size 34C and had to size up all the way to 10! Well I probably would have been ok with an 8 but they didn't have the style I wanted in that size. Coverups and sarongs were only $30. They also had beach towels that were priced the same.

PRICE LIST
Hosiery $10 | Bra $50 | Bottoms/Garter $30 | Bodysuit $50 | Sleepwear $80 | RTW 90% off retail | Perfume 90% off retail | Beach Towels $30 | Swim Coverup/Sarong $30 | Swim Seperates $25 | Swim   One-Piece/Two-Piece $50 |
La Perla Shoes $50 | Julia Haart Collection Shoes $100 $50 | Julia Haart Exotic Shoes $150  $50
Men's Swim/Underwear $20 | Men's Polos $25 | Men's Pajamas $50

In the middle of the venue you'll find several racks of RTW all discounted 90% off retail. Of course 90% off La Perla isn't exactly cheap. For instance the resort style lace pants were $45-$170. Silk sheet panel jackets came out to $210 after discounts, lace cut out dresses were about $170.  All loungewear and sleepwear was priced at $80. There were silk robes, nightgowns, pajamas, sleep shirts, and more. All the way in the corner was also a small selection of men's underwear and apparel.  There was no dressing room and technically you were not supposed to try on clothes on the showroom floor but you know how it is 😉 No one listened! So wear something you can try a bra over lol

One surprise discovery were Julia Haart shoes. This August, Julia Haart has been named La Perla's newest creative director. Looking at some of the styles from this footwear designer's recent collections it's not all too surprising. You'll find footwear located all the way in the back. The shoes on the left hand side rack were all size 37 samples while those on the table have a slightly better size variety and also come in original boxes. Collection shoes were priced at $100 and Python heels at $150. This is roughly 90% off retail. The styles were predominantly bold or embellished party heels. Think Jimmy Choo circa Tamara Mellon years meets Giuseppe Zanotti. Totally impractical and not for everyday but great for a weekend in Vegas or a New Year's Eve party ;)

BOTTOM LINE: While ready to wear might be 90% off, the prices are still high ($100+). My advice is to check out the swimwear section where $25 separates and $50 swimsuits can be a real steal! If you are a size 37 then you may want to check out Julia Haart's sample footwear selection. Most of these shoes retail around $1,100-$1,500 so the prices aren't too bad if you are in the market for party heels. I will update you if there are any additional markdowns.

  2. So does that mean shoes are now $35/each (if 30% off of 50?)

    1. Hi Busy Bee!

The 30% off doesn't apply to shoes but when you buy 2 pairs they end up being $37.50 each or $75 for 2. Stock was mostly sizes 39-41 with a few 5's and samples 37. There were no 38's at all.
