Gerard Darel, Veronica Beard, And Brian Atwood

Happy Friday everyone! The weekend is almost here and there are lots of great sample sales for you to shop. Be sure to catch up on my reviews of The Shoebox, Elizabeth & James, and Tory Sport. Meanwhile let’s take a look at several multi-designer events taking place in SoHo this weekend. If you’ve missed last week’s Gerard Darel sample sale I have good news because the event has been extended and relocated to 260 Sample Sale‘s SoHo venue at 150 Greene Street. There it’s joined by Veronica Beard apparel and Brian Atwood footwear.

This sale is currently set to run through Sunday and while I wasn’t able to attend the Gerard Darel sample sale last week, it appears as though the organizers are continuing with last weekend’s markdowns. Gerard Darel merchandise takes up the right half of the venue. There are racks of women’s apparel including coats, furs, dresses, and lots and lots of pants and tops. Prices started at $33.75 for t-shirts and went all the way up to $596.25 for fur coats. Other price points included $63.75 pants, $71.25 dresses, $56.25 sweaters, $108.75 jackets, and $206.25 winter coats. Please refer to the price list photos for more info. There were some great stand out pieces although I personally found prices to still be high. Here’s hoping for weekend markdowns!

On the left hand side of the venue you’ll find Veronica Beard apparel. There were great Spring/Summer pieces like white lace blouses and tunics. There was just one rack each of jackets and coats and I was particularly drawn to this Pinstripe Spirit Blazer with gold buttons that still retails for $695 but at the sale it’s just $75. The only catch was it was a one-off. Prices seemed much more affordable compared to the brand’s previous sales. All tops and skirts were priced at just $40, pants $50, dresses $95, blazers $75, and coats $195. Leather and furs were listed at $250 but the only examples that I’ve spotted included a couple of wool coats with coyote fur collars. I do not recall seeing any leather jackets.

All the way in the back you will find tables with Brian Atwood shoes priced at either $150 or $250 for exotic and embellished footwear. The selection consisted entirely of high heel platform pumps and sandals in bold colors and patterns. They appeared to be production/PR samples as the shoes didn’t come with their own boxes but most of them looked to be in very good condition. The price list also mentioned clutches yet I did not see any. It’s possible that the organizers have not had a chance to display all the merchandise yet? Please let me know what you find and happy shopping!
